Basketball Play - Early Offense - Triple Gap

Early Offense - Triple Gap

Tony Miller 06/16/2020

Create multiple scoring opportunities early in your possession by using a simple "toss back" to get your trail player moving down hill against a transitioning defense. The "triple gap" created by the moving 1 gives the 4 a lot of space to drive, which forces the help defense to decide to either help stop the ball or stick to their men. See More

30 Series: Dribble Option

Irvin Jerry 06/26/2019

The Dribble Option is the third option within our 30 Series transition offense. Note: This offense can be ran on either side of the court. The point guard choses the side and the 5 and 4 adjust their running lanes accordingly. See video below. More 30 Series: Chase Option Keep Option Down Option See More

Basketball Play - 30 Series: Chase Option

30 Series: Chase Option

Irvin Jerry 06/26/2019

30 Series is a secondary break offense that is at it's best when flowing from transition before the defense gets set. If ran at full speed, with proper spacing and effective screens this offense will create high percentage shots for your team. There are four differnet ways to start the offense and it's all based on reads. We want our young ladies to use different options to keep the defense off balance. I first saw this presented by Dave Severns of the Los Angeles Clippers at the Northern Arizona University Coaches Clinic. This is known as the Pistol or Hurry Up Offense in NBA circles. I haven't seen very many women's programs running this and it can be very effective in the women's game. See video below. More 30 Series: Keep Option Dribble Option Down Option See More

Basketball Play - Las Vegas Aces - Pinch Post Ricky Flare

Las Vegas Aces - Pinch Post Ricky Flare

Aseem Rastogi 06/01/2019

The Aces find creative ways to utilize pinch post entries and actions to create advantages for their best players. In this situation, using Liz Cambage as a permanent screener and allowing Kayla McBride to use her craftiness and speed gets the Aces their best scorer 1 on 1 against a recovering defender with plenty of space to operate. Las Vegas Aces - Triangle Rip Flash Flare EOG SLOB

Aseem Rastogi 06/01/2019

The Aces ran this SLOB as they were clawing back in a tense game with the Phoenix Mercury. The most dangerous person in this situation is the inbounder, Kayla McBride. Well timed and executed screening creates an opportunity for her to get to the rim and finish. Basketball Play - Houston Rockets - Stagger Slip SLOB

Houston Rockets - Stagger Slip SLOB

Matt Wheeler 04/29/2019

The Houston Rockets were down 5 with 24.4 seconds left in game 1 against the Golden State Warriors. They needed at least two scores to tie the game so they needed to get a quick basket and then foul to extend the game. This play worked very well against the Warriors strategy of switching all screens. James Harden (2) started the play as a decoy, setting the second screen for Eric Gordon (3). The Warriors switched off of Harden on the screen to take away an open three from Gordon. Harden then flashed to the ball to receive the pass from 5 and quickly attack the basket.
