Favorite Send to FastDrawCleveland has been running this delay motion to great affect in the early 2015-16 NBA Season. It is similar to what Mike D'Antoni has run in the past and provides a number of hard to gaurd action. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a drill used by Fred Hoiberg at Iowa State. The drill develops quick instincts for offensive players to find the open man while in a numbers advantage. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw3-on-3 Guts is an excellent live drill for reviewing and polishing your team defensive fundamentals. Further, it is a live drill to teach players how to get through adversity. It stresses the importance of getting and stringing together defensive stops. This drill is also an opportunity for the offense to use motion offense principles RULES: Defense must make four consecutive stops before going to offense Stops are defined as defensive rebounds, steals or out of bounds possessions If the offense scores or gets fouled, the defensive "stop count" goes back to zero Offensive charges count as four stops Offense goes down and back and a new offensive group comes on the floor Do not change directions until the ball touches the rim or offense scores (teams switch directions after Defensive rebouds or Offensive FGM) Check the ball in after steals and fouls Offense must inbound the ball on all out of bounds situations See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is the best drill there is for teaching the game of basketball. Cut-Throat is a pillar of the Snow Valley Basketball School. Every camp ends with this drill. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawIt's never too early. I know I am itching to get back into the gym and start working with my guys. Thanks to my autorenewal of League Pass, I've been able to catch some glimpses of a few NBA teams working young guys in and trying to get timing down. This is a play for a stretch big, that came after a timeout in the 2nd half of the Charlotte-Miami preseason game on Sunday. Another resource that coaches can use in the drudgery of waiting for practice to start is NBAtv. All week last week, NBAtv's crew were running their series Inside Training Camp and it was awesome. The interaction between players is fun to watch and there is no doubt that you can take a drill from each practice. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawEarly offense from Brad Stevens and the Boston Celtics, looking for the first big man down the court to empty the post and step up to set a ballscreen for the point guard on the wing. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawYou can use this with various actions within your offense Your players will work on the proper fundamentals of screening and then work on the closeout See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw1 dribbles right as 2 and 3 exchange wings. 1 passes to 3 then exchanges spots with 2 on the weak side. 4 moves towards 3 and makes a slip to the rim. 5 follows to set a ball-screen. If 3 uses the ball-screen, 5 rolls, 4 slides to the left block, and 1 drops to the corner. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw1 dribbles to the right as 3 cuts to the right corner off of a screen from 2. 1 passes to 3 then 2 screens across the lane for 5. If 5 isn't open, he turns and screen for 2. 2 cuts to the corner as 3 dribbles up the sideline. 3 passes back to 2 in the corner for a shot. See More
